The podcast that brings college-level analysis to preschool-level content! Hosts Martyn and Rebecca take deep dives into kids’ movies and TV shows that they are forced to watch on repeat thanks to Rebecca’s two young children. It’s a little about parenting and a lot about over-analyzing content that was never meant to be examined that closely. In honor of the subject matter, the podcast is PG, but it still touches on grown-up themes and ideas. Listeners need not be parents to enjoy.

Welcome to our first ever installment of Alan Guesses the Plot! To start with, Alan guesses the plot of Disney/Pixar's Cars. It's a blast from our past, as we recorded this episode back when Rebecca was nine months pregnant. Questions to consider this time: Should Rebecca stop doing celebrity impressions? Is Pixar accidentally and/or purposefully racist? What did the movie makers have against Southerners? And why would cars need tongues? Hope you enjoy this nascent segment. This week we finish up our discussion of Super Wings, streaming on Netflix. Questions to consider: When does learning about other cultures veer into stereotyping people? Is Jimbo trying to take over the world? And how many times can we say the word "sentient" in one episode? (Spoiler Alert: It's a lot) Speaking of, we suppose we should put a spoiler warning here for Super Wings even though we've been spotty at best with spoiler warnings. And also trigger warning for brief discussion of drinking games. Twitter is @NotAgainPod Facebook is Not Again with Alan and Rebecca

It's time for our analysis of the show Super Wings on Netflix! The premise of this show is so loopy that we had to dedicate an entire episode just to dissecting it. Questions to consider for this episode: Can it be called a transformation if an airplane robot merely grows arms and legs? At what point can something legitimately be called "educational"? Why did this show include a mail delivery element at all when they could have stopped at superhero airplanes? Baby Ari offers his thoughts in the form of several burps and sneezes. Trigger Warning: Brief discussion/joking about war/bombs. Tweet us @NotAgainPod and Facebook us by searching for Not Again with Alan and Rebecca.

Trigger Warnings: Mental Health, Mental Delays, Physical disabilities. It's time to wrap up our discussion of Finding Nemo! Questions to consider for this episode: Does Pixar ever portray children correctly? How can an anxious parent know when they are being cautious enough and when they are being overprotective? And how many children flushed their pet fish down the toilet after seeing this movie in order to "free" them? Probably a lot, right? Next time we'll discuss Super Wings. It's time for us to talk about Finding Nemo! We discuss parenting techniques, the low bar for humor in kids' entertainment, and mental health in fish. Rebecca accidentally calls Darla the dentist's daughter, but she knows Darla is his niece. Are you a marine biologist? We'd love to hear from you! This is it! We're saying farewell to Cory Carson. We're discussing the last episode of season 1, "Speed Limits." This one gets pretty real, so be prepared for that. We take a look at what happens when preschoolers try to police other preschoolers. Spoiler alert: It does not go well. Next week we'll cleanse our palates by diving into (sorry) Finding Nemo. This one is even weirder than the last one. Gotta reissue that content warning for bodily fluids. We can't NOT talk about it. There is some good news, though. Those of you who have been curious about the cover image on our Facebook page (search "Not Again Podcast") will finally get some answers! We will also discuss the exciting topic of classism as demonstrated by the O'Tool family. Getting bored of Cory Carson? No worries! We've got some interesting shows and movies coming down the line. Not gonna lie. . . this one gets a little weird. We ask questions like: Does seeing a commercial for bottled water make you have to go to the bathroom? At what age is it appropriate to fall for your babysitter? Why do cars choose to name their kids things that start with "car"? This episode also comes with bonus content at the end! It's time to tour the firehouse with Cory, Freddie, and the gang! Too bad Cory hates it because it is not nearly dangerous enough for his tastes. Poor Halle Copter isn't allowed to join in all the activities either. Is this discrimination? Did you know we know absolutely nothing about wrestling? Please help us out by Tweeting @NotAgainPod. It's time for Cory Carson S1 ep3: "Garbage Day"! Meet Gary Garbage, who could only ever be a garbage collector even if he didn't want to be. Learn the truth about internships. Discuss more possibly bad parenting. Oh yeah, and what is the word for a person who only eats garbage? Do YOU know? Tweet @NotAgainPod and tell us.
