It's a Wonderful Symbolism

Spoiler Alert for Beauty and the Beast (2017)! We talk for twenty minutes about the first ninety seconds of the live action Beauty and the Beast. Rebecca still has a nasty habit of saying "We'll get to that." And this is definitely going to be a three-parter. It's going to become apparent pretty quickly that we did not like this movie.

I Didn't Vote for That Chicken

Alan is back, and it's finally time for the surprise episode! At this point, we hyped it too much, and it can't possibly live up to expectations. That being said, it's a very popular TV show, so we had a lot to talk about. We are back to not cursing. A glimpse at our downloads says you'd prefer it that way. Apologies for our momentary lapse, but we're back to being swear-free, though we can't promise the humor will always be kid-friendly.

It's a fun time, but certainly not our usual brand of fun. If this is your first episode, maybe choose a different one to start with.

In His Noodle Element

It's our thirtieth episode! We really should have planned this better because Alan isn't even in this one! But whatever! This is almost better because I (Rebecca) was blown away by all the amazing art and animation tidbits Adele brought to this episode. What better way to celebrate than to dive deep into an artistic medium? They saw stuff in this movie that I never would have been able to. That being said: Spoiler alerts for the Kung Fu Panda trilogy, Mulan, Avatar the Last Airbender. And CONTENT WARNING: We will be talking about transphobia towards the end of this episode. It's a Very Womb-Like Situation

First of all, SPOILER ALERT for Wall-E. Second, we are going to get somewhat raunchy in this one, so if you don't want to hear us talk about sex or Incels or the so-called friendzone, then you will have to give this one a miss. We don't use super explicit language or anything, but we do say words like "Sex" and "Womb." So ye be warned. Super fun episode though! We look into a list of very specific talking points about the film, and occasionally go off on tangents about Dragon Ball Z and Letterkenny.

Peppa Pig is Basically Power Rangers

Hi, Friends! This is the one where we talk about Peppa Pig! And we hate Peppa Pig. Listen as we tear apart these swine, metaphorically of course. We go in-depth about parenting styles in this one, comparing and contrasting Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom with Peppa Pig. The difference is like night and day. This is an episode where you'll hear baby Ari in the background with his loud toys, and at some point we had to start switching off who was at the mic and who was with the baby. But it came together well enough.

Correction for this ep: Ms. Rabbit's sister is named Mummy Rabbit. That's how they tell them apart. And frankly... we could do a whole episode about defining these female characters by whether they have children. But we won't.

Frogs Are Never Happy

Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom is as good as Peppa Pig is bad. In order to understand how much we hate Peppa, you must first understand how much we love Ben & Holly. That's right! You are about to hear us talk positively about kids' entertainment for once. There are some nuggets of wisdom in this episode. We found at least two lessons and had our first ever Good Parenting Alert! Tune in next time to hear all about why Peppa Pig is the absolute worst.

Arendelle Fate Deciders

Phew! We made it! Is this episode an hour long? Yes. But please don't blame us. Blame our innocent and adorable child for getting fussy during our previous record, forcing us to cut the second part of this series a little short. Also it's our sixth anniversary! Or it was when we recorded this. Yay!

Questions to consider for this episode: What was Elsa's long-term plan? Where did Olaf get his eyes from? Why are all these foreign diplomats deciding the fate of a country that is not their own? Will we EVER have an episode where we don't say the word "sentient"??
